Extent of copyright agreements

March 9th, 2009 · No Comments

The case of New York State v Tasini only highlights the problems faced by authors and copyright owners in these days of multi media formats. Any copyright owner writing as a freelancer or syndicating his work should be aware of the extent of any agreement and whether the commission extends to web publishing, blogs etc.

It is all too easy to give your work away and copyright owners should always bear this in mind when entering into agreements.
